Introduction
Maragall Galería D´Art, is above all, a gallery involved in a determined expansion process, with very specific personality. This is a dynamic, innovative, and receptive gallery, before the new proposals, joining different artistic tendencies under the same idea of art, and capable of defending the old values and the new ones at the same time. From the foundation of the gallery, a decade ago, Maragall Galería D´Art, has supported a group of artists, fully committed with the plastic adventure. All of them share a common interest: to make an integrating and non controlling group, in such an individualist world, where the collective value is a highlight. Different in their styles, but joined by their concept of art, our artists wish to show that there is an encounter path from the artistic method to the most positive values of the ethic and the aesthetic.
From
this platform, is our desire to show this group of painters, joined by the
fact of believing in art.

THE GALLERY/ Philosophy
Raimond Maragall, founder and director at the Maragall Galería D´Art, for a decade already, proposes that there is an urgent need to recover the concept of art as consumption and necessity, as something that it has always been there, as personal consumption, intimate and almost domestic.
“There are
people who observe a picture as if they were defending a political ideal, in
within a specific ideology, as if they were betting for a political party.
Or you can also find people, who consider art as a piece to show in their
shelf, as a weird creature. No here”, he said, in a recent article
at Avui.. Raimon Maragall confesses that he is less interested in the intermediation, unless a long and steady trajectory is seen in this field, because the valuable pieces of art, above all, in within the Catalonian paint, are scarcely found.
His
commitment with art, with this art able to survive and overcome the trends
and fashions, is not out of difficulties. Believing on painting is not an
easy thing. Above all, if this is done from a full commitment with art, with
an art that claims for essential and fundamental aspects, which go further
more of the uneven and superficial view of non substantial fashions.
Dedicate a whole life to art it could seem to be a way of earning life.
However, when someone involves himself in discovering paintings and more
paintings everyday, this someone will need high doses of implication, to
perform this simple act in an act of faith, emotion and interest. “My gallery is an open door to the unknown, a constant effort to wide our range of repertories and registers, a window to the languages and the artistic and plastic expressions. My gallery desires to be a palette where the painter and the viewer may contact, and where to overcame this fixed position of “I paint for myself”, to be change by the approach of “I paint, and period”.
